Bright and early indeed!!!
5th Annual Los Angeles Golf Classic
There was no playing around when it came to the 5th Annual Los Angeles Golf Classic at the exclusive Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades. The stars were there early to support the good cause of finding a cure for autism through the organization of Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks is the nation's leading autism advocacy organization providing awareness and research for the disorder of autism.The event started at 10:00 a.m., but majority of the stars showed up at 8:00 a.m. When it came to teeing off they were serious! As a rule of thumb, don't stand in front of a celebrity with a golf club in his hand on the course. Just don't do it! Don't do it! You know what, as a rule of thumb don't stand in front of anyone with a golf club in their hand!
Celebrities, such as brothers Nick and Drew Lachey practiced their long shots; while Bruce Jenner, Alice Cooper, Dennis Haysbert, and Paula Trickey were golf putting their balls on the green.
I just started playing the game of golf, but didn't realize how important the game was to others. When you play the game there is so much concentration in the air. I was afraid to speak for fear that Joe Mantenga might play out his gangster role on me.
It was a magnificent spring day for golf at the Riviera Country Club. Handicaps were beaten and birdies were gained all in the name of Autism Speaks.
